What to Expect After Surgery

If you are like most people, you have managed to get this far in life without ever having surgery. Even if it is for something small like having your wisdom teeth out or having your tonsils removed, surgery can be a traumatic experience that requires extensive recovery, and there is always the chance that a complication or an infection could set in and make things significantly worse. Although the complete recovery time from augmentation surgery is said to only be a few weeks, many women say that the pain associated with recovery is the worst they have ever felt. If you would like to have a larger bust without the surgery, the recovery and the painful adjustment, consider using a breast enlarging pill instead.

Once you come out of surgery, you should have the doctor or a nurse sit down with you and talk to you about what to expect in the hours, days and weeks following your surgery. They will likely wait until you have come out of your post-surgery fog, otherwise, you likely won’t remember much of what you hear. It is important to have someone else that will be living with you or helping to take care of you in the room at the same time so they can hear what the doctor has to say. Probably the first thing on your mind is going to be the administering of pain killers. At this point, the pain likely won’t be too bad because you will still be under the anaesthesia that the doctor gave you, but once it begins to wear off, you’ll understand why you need it.

There will be a large amount of bruising all over your chest and even down to your stomach. Don’t worry about this too much as it is quite normal. It is the same sort of thing where you have a face lift and it gives you two black eyes for days. The bruising and redness will go away on its own, but the scarring will be permanent. If you were able to find a good plastic surgeon, the small incision will be hidden underneath the breast and will be almost invisible, however, if you are like most people and you weren’t able to get the best doctor, your scar will be very visible. There are solutions you can buy that can reduce the signs of scarring, but you will likely have at least a small sign of scarring for the rest of your life.

Once you get home, bed rest will be the order of the day. Try and sleep as much as you can and follow the directions laid out by your doctor. Try to keep the area operated on as clean as possible and although you likely won’t be hungry, it is important that you try and eat something so your body has the proper fuel to get better. If all of this sounds like too much, you can always choose a breast enlargement pill over surgery.
